Three adorable Boxer puppies are up for adoption, as announced by the Fredericksburg Regional Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). The volunteers from the shelter knew that the three dogs would soon be adopted since they waived the adoption fees for the dogs. The only downside is that whoever comes first at the shelter shall be entertained for adoption.
Lisa, a resident near the shelter, was the first to arrive at the center at six o’clock in the morning. Her husband, Carl, later joined her. According to Lisa, there was a woman behind them, and they, later on, knew her by the name Mary Garecht. Mary said she is raring to adopt one of the three dogs for her family, including her sons, John and Greg.
Mary shared that John and Greg have wanted to have a dog. This is the reason why she woke up early to fall in line. The early birds thought all of them would get one dog each, but it turned out that one of the three available dogs were already adopted.
This left Mary heartbroken because she knew she would be the one to come home empty-handed. Soon enough, Mary’s sons arrived at the shelter. John and Greg wept upon learning this development.
When Lisa saw how heartbroken the two young boys were, she decided to give up her slot to give way for the two young boys. It was not a hard decision for Lisa because she knows that there will be other dogs destined for her. With this development, John and Greg thanked Lisa for her selflessness.
Now that John and Greg have a dog, they named the pooch after Lisa. This is the boys’ way of reminding themselves that a kind woman became instrumental for them to meet their new dog.
